ZNICE (znice.es) is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. We are based in Spain and subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as implemented in Spanish law (Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos — LOPDGDD).

What personal data we process
ZNICE processes minimal personal data. The specific data processed depends on how you interact with the site:
- No account required: All tools are free and anonymous. No personal data is required or collected to use any tool.
- Newsletter subscription: If you subscribe, we process your email address. Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
- Contact form: If you contact us, we process your name, email address and message content. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Cookie preference: We store your cookie consent choice in localStorage. This does not constitute personal data processing under GDPR as it is stored locally in your browser and not transmitted to us.
Tool data
Inputs you enter into ZNICE tools are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to our servers, not stored, and not accessible to us. This is a deliberate architectural decision — the tools are client-side only.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding personal data we hold:
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to portability: Request your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
Data transfers
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address may be stored with an email service provider. We use providers that either operate within the EU or maintain adequate safeguards for data transfers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
Supervisory authority
If you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), www.aepd.es.
